Role as Group Chief Medical Officer, Group Chief Quality Officer & Academic Director (India & GCC)
  • Conceptualize, design and drive implementation of Aster DM Healthcare's vision and strategy for excellence in clinical & non clinical quality systems & processes to ensure patient safety & satisfaction across all business verticals viz Hospitals, Medical Centers& Pharmacies (India & GCC countries). This will be achieved by collaboration with business heads, Function Heads & other Senior leadership team members along with quality in charges of different businesses of all Aster DM Healthcare
  • To develop a culture which values patient safety, clinical excellence and continuous improvement leading to high reliable processes and outstanding clinical outcomes on par with National & International benchmarks.
  • Contribute to clinical development programs across the group& setting up Global Centers of Excellence
  • Champion strategies in Clinical Governance including Multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop Key performance indicator in concurrence with clinical Leads
  • Collaborate with Country head/ Chief Executive Officers to ensure financial performance with lean and efficient strategies.
  • Guiding design& commissioning of new units being established under Aster DM healthcare group as well as develop internal quality systems a digital transformation mindset • Adopt a Consumer Mindset and reset processes and patient touchpoints • Become digital-first as the default to force addressing what is easy and hard for maximum benefit • Prioritize data: collection from core operating systems and patient's sources/apps and tools, aggregating, analyzing for insights on a proactive basis.
  • Facilitating transformation strategies like implementation of tools such as EHR and digital front door solutions including EMR adoption by clinical teams.
  • Develop strategies to Integrate new technologies& facilitate healthcare's digital transformation
  • Supporting Senior management to take informed decisions on strategic innovations & providing inputs for developing innovation & research programs
  • Drive initiatives to mitigate risks in the system through
  • a) Analyses of existing systems to identify scope of risk.
    b) Design approach to reduce the severity of risk impact and/or probability of occurrence.
    c) Lead the initiative to define and track parameters for risk mitigation.
  • Support & guide for JCI Accreditation & NABH (National Accreditation of Board of Hospitals - Quality Council of India) & other Accreditation standards across Aster D M Healthcare.
  • Participate in orienting and training Clinical Staff and other hospital staff members to policies and procedures related to quality and patient safety as well implement strategies for doctor's performance management.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology to develop IT strategies that will support patient centric care, Quality, research& innovation.
