Kavita is a distinguished professional with 29 years of versatile experience, currently leading Cummins India’s Strategic efforts in ensuring the highest standards of Quality to exceed Customer Expectations and deliver exceptional products and services through enabling processes to become digitally connected and transparent and creating people competence for the future.
An Electrical Engineer by profession she is the Co-convenor for the MSME Development initiative at CII State Council. She is a certified Independent Director from Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and a ESG specialist from Corporate Finance Institute.
Kavita is a certified Visionary Leader for Manufacturing (VLFM) by CII and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and also a Certified Master Black Belt. She has implemented innovative Programs like AMaZE (Accelerated Move Towards Zero Defect), Manthan (Focused on Improving Analytical mindset),Bodhanam (Self and assisted learning)and DNA Programs(Taking Six Sigma to embrace future business requirements). As a testament to her commitment and efforts towards Excellence she has been conferred as “Women Manufacturer of the year” 2023 by Manufacturing Today.
A WILL Executive Council Member of the WILL Forum of India, Kavita has been conferred the “Future Women Award” .She has been leading corporate responsibility initiative “UDGAM” (Arise) at Cummins India which aims to reduce period poverty in India and improve the sanitary health of disadvantaged women.
A Journey traversed from shopfloor Engineer to leading the Quality at Cummins India ,Kavita earnestly strives to support and empower others and lives by the motto “Nothing comes easy, only smart hard work is the road to Success”.
